Rookwood Cemetery’s ‘Hidden’ opened this weekend giving Sydneysiders the chance to see a range of often ephemeral, site-sensitive sculptures and moving image works in the historic cemetery. Saturday arvo (7 Sep) saw the opening for with free food, music and good conversation. The exhibition runs Saturday 7 September 2019 until 7 October 2019.

As a student, how do you understand where your work might fit into contemporary practice? ‘Hidden’ is a great start, as it includes a wide range of works by both students and professional artists.

I offer tutoring services in Sydney’s inner city to secondary and tertiary visual art students and graduates – you may be preparing to enter a program, currently enrolled, or a graduate seeking entry to postgraduate courses or starting professional practice.

Seeking tutoring to establish a framework for an HSC body of work? Now is a great time to meet up and really get work happening!

Rebecca consistently offered insightful, constructive ideas and organisational techniques to me as I developed my artwork and concepts. As a result of her depth of knowledge of art, art history, photographic processes and theory Rebecca made it possible for me to extend my understanding of photography, create prints and video works in unexpected ways as well as present and write coherently about my work.
